Cell Phone Battles
Today was my first snag in the Blackberry Enterprise Server setup we are testing out right now. After activating the device 4-5 times and watching the enterprise activation retry over and over, I decided to break down and call our Verizon rep to see if the phone indeed had the BB Unlimited Data plan (needed in order to work with BES) like the user said they did, and come to find out…….they didn’t. I missed one of the most cruicial steps in troubleshooting, never take the end user’s word on anything!
On a lighter note I installed the IE8 final release today and have to say I am very pleased. IE7 was a clunky mess. I enjoy the new accelerators and compatibility mode. I also like that they added an ‘InPrivate’ mode aka Porn Mode as dubbed at a recent Windows 7 release conference I went to. One of my favorite yet simple additions is the Ctrl + Q shortcut that gives you a snapshot of each tab and lets you select.
