Google Voice iPhone app shot down
Why? Why would Apple shoot down an app that is such high demand? It doesn’t surprise me at all, but I have to agree with this article in saying that it was most likely push back from ATT. IMO, ATT is the worst carrier, and the best thing for the future of the iPhone will be to get out of that exclusive contract with ATT ASAP. I’m guessing that ATT feels like Google Voice will put a damper on their service sales, and usage will go down. We all know how much the cell companies love overage charges, and Google Voice will be a great tool to keep those costs down for high minute users.
Google will get around it by depoying a mobile version of the site I’m sure, it just won’t be out as soon as it would have been an app for the iPhone.
Guess what! As an avid BlackBerry user, I already have an app for that!
