So with the purchase of my hosting account for my ecommerce project I am working on (more info on this to come in later posts) I have finally been able to give WordPress a shot. I have to say that this is an impressive platform, and anyone who is entusiastic about the flexibility of their personal site should consider giving this a shot. In the past I had no desire to pay for a place to host my WordPress powered blog but with the purchase of an account for the ecommerce site I was glad to use a few megs of space and one of my SQL databases for my blog. The themes are impressive and flexibile as well. I have to give credit to alex king for the slick theme you see installed here. I am by no means a savvy web developer so I appreciate the development on projects like this. I can get things going but I just don’t have that artistic eye and spirit to make it look clean.
I was glad that I made this move early on in my blog’s life as I have noticed some follower and did not want to lose them in the move. I redirected the feed from the old site to this one, hopefully it did not rock the boat too much.
I also want to take a second and wish my beautiful girlfriend a happy birthday with many more to come!
