The Beatles to make a debut on iTunes
Finally, after years of holding out The Beatles tracks may be available on iTunes later this year. The details are not final, nor is the deal itself, but this will be a ground breaking deal as The Beatles will be one of the last few greats to have their music available online (legally that is). An article from ABC News has the small details that are out there, but again nothing is set in stone. It makes me wonder if the death of Michael Jackson had anything to do with this. Details on that can be found here – noting that MJ owned 50% of the rights to the music along with Sony.
Either way, this sounds like a jackpot for iTunes if it goes live. I’m sure the tracks will be priced along with their new price guidelines, upwards of $1.29 a piece. Will you buy the tunes or do you already have copies you ripped from your library?
